I can’t fault the efforts of every single player, they all ran their hearts out for the team. I saw a massive improvement in our defensive approach tonight and we implemented the three D’s (Delay / Deflect / Deny) that we’ve been speaking about which stopped Blackpool breaking us down on many occasions.

Our forward play and pressing with traps was excellent and we created so many chances in the first half! We was really unfortunate not to be 3-0 up within the first 15 minutes!

Blackpool’s players were a huge threat throughout the game but a huge applause from me to the boys I tasked with playing wing back / side of the back three tonight, you were magnificent ?

Our oppositions manager was full of praise for the team and stated it’s the toughest challenge they’ve faced yet and I couldn’t agree more. Gutted we couldn’t convert at end there and get a point but again, I’m really proud of everyone.
